One More Light is an independent consultancy working at the edge of applied systems, emerging technology, and operating design. We come in where the question is still forming, and we leave behind something that runs without us.
01The practice
Every engagement starts in a different place and ends up asking the same thing: what is this organization actually trying to do, and what is quietly preventing it.
We look at how the parts of an organization actually talk to each other, then redraw the lines so the answer arrives before the meeting does.
New capability shows up faster than the judgment to use it. We help decide what to adopt, what to wait on, and what was never the point.
Strategy that nobody can run on a Tuesday is a document. We turn intent into a cadence, an owner, and a number that moves.
Most teams are not short on data. They are short on the two or three signals that would change a decision. We go find those.
02How the work runs
The shape is consistent even when the subject is not. Scope, pace, and depth are set per engagement.
Weeks 1 to 2
We read the room before we touch anything. Interviews, existing documentation, whatever the system is already telling you that nobody has had time to listen to.
Weeks 3 to 6
A single map of how things connect, where they should connect, and the smallest change that moves the most. Written so the people doing the work can argue with it.
Ongoing, by agreement
We stay long enough for the new thing to survive contact with a normal week, then we step back on purpose. Independence is the deliverable.
03Engagement models
We take a small number of clients at a time and say no more often than yes. Terms, timeline, and fee are set in conversation, not on a page like this one.
A standing line to someone who has seen the pattern before.
Scoped on request
A defined problem, a defined window, something real at the end.
Scoped on request
Inside the team for a season, accountable to the same numbers.

04 / Availability
The practice runs quietly and stays that way. Work reaches us through people we have already worked with, which is how we prefer it.
